Changelog

Every release that ships to production is logged here. When something breaks, you know what changed.

  1. v0.14.0October 01, 2026
    • New Transfer tab in New transaction: record currency exchange between real and euro and move money between your balance and your reserve. Transfers update your balance and reserve, but don't count as spending or income.
    • The WhatsApp Assistant now records currency exchanges and transfers. For example: "I exchanged 1000 reais for 170 euros" or "I moved 500 to the reserve".
    • To delete or fix a transaction on WhatsApp, just reply to the Assistant's message about it, such as the confirmation it sent.
    • You can now rename your space in Settings.
    • Backup and restore now include transfers.
    • The app installed on your phone now updates itself when a new version is out.
    • Requests like "don't delete the last one" no longer delete anything.
    • Stability and performance improvements.
  2. v0.13.1September 14, 2026
    • Questions like "how much did I spend in July?" or "last month" get the answer for the period you asked about, or a note that the Assistant cannot do it yet, instead of this month's numbers.
    • When the Assistant asks for a category, it says which entry it is talking about.
    • The Assistant's confirmation shows the right phrase to change the category on WhatsApp itself.
    • The Assistant replies in the language you wrote in, including when it declines a request.
    • Requests to see other people's data or internal system information are declined, with no attempt to answer.
    • Stability and performance improvements.
  3. v0.13.0September 13, 2026
    • You can create an account and sign in with your Google account, on login and sign-up, no password needed.
    • On WhatsApp you can ask "change the category to transport" by replying to the entry's message or referring to the last one. Amount, description and date are still edited in the app.
    • When the Assistant reads a request as "delete" without you saying so, it asks first. Words like "withdrawal" or "cancellation" are no longer read as a request to delete.
    • "Yesterday" and "last week" on WhatsApp land on the right day, in your space's time zone.
    • If the amount, or whether it is income or an expense, is not clear in the message, the Assistant asks instead of guessing. Card purchases still go through the invoice.
    • If the Assistant's reply gets lost along the way, it checks what was already recorded before replying again: nothing is saved twice and you are not asked to resend what already went in.
    • "Spent 50 at the market, put it under food" records the expense instead of changing an earlier entry.
    • Stability and performance improvements.
  4. v0.12.0September 07, 2026
    • Anything you delete stays available for 7 days in its own Bin, under Settings, with the option to restore it or delete it for good.
    • Deleting got safer: an Undo button now appears right away, whether you deleted a single transaction, a selection or a whole month.
    • You can now drag the handle on any panel (transaction, bill, category, goal, contribution and investment) to close it, like in other apps.
    • At signup and at checkout, agreeing to receive marketing emails is now a separate choice from accepting the terms, unticked by default, and can be changed later in Settings.
    • The Dashboard's Total balance now comes with an explanation of how it is calculated, and a note shows when a logged amount has not been added to it yet because it is still pending confirmation.
    • Recurring entries now come with more on-screen guidance: a hint on the frequency selector, a note when a recurring entry for the month is waiting for confirmation, and a new step in the welcome tour.
    • Deleting a transaction created from an imported invoice could leave its purchases still counting in the report even after deletion. Now deleting removes everything at once.
    • On WhatsApp, when you asked to delete by replying to or quoting a specific message, the Assistant could sometimes delete the wrong transaction. Now it correctly identifies which one you meant.
    • Weekly recurring entries now repeat properly every month, and the yearly option was removed from the frequency selector.
    • An investment goal in euros no longer shows up when the selected currency is Brazilian real, and vice versa: each goal now appears only under its own currency.
    • When you ask the Assistant to undo a deletion and there is no recent batch to bring back, it is no longer a dead end: it now tells you about the 7-day window and points you to the Bin, under Settings, so you can look there.
    • When suggesting a name for a new category based on what you said by voice or text, the Assistant could sometimes include a stray number or leftover words from the question. Now the name comes out clean.
    • If the dashboard link had an invalid year, the screen would show blank. Now it recovers on its own and shows the current year.
    • In the English app, the month status that used to read Heavy is now called Overspending, a clearer description of what it measures.
    • In the English app, the Report's Panorama section is now called Overview.
    • The info balloon behind the help icon no longer gets cut off at the edge of the screen, on any phone size.
    • On the Transactions, Investments and Bills screens, the selected month is now visible in the month strip as soon as the screen opens, with no need to scroll to find it.
    • The category search panel no longer shrinks while you type.
    • The Report screen no longer slides sideways by itself on mobile: the row of years now wraps onto more than one line when it does not fit.
    • On phone and tablet, the floating assistant and add buttons no longer cover the end of the content, including the available balance value.
    • The deadline field on investment goals, on both the goal and the contribution, now shows a calendar icon and a hint when empty, instead of looking broken.
    • Lists that scroll sideways on mobile now show when there is more content off-screen, and are easier to read.
    • Behind-the-scenes security improvements and optimisations, with no change to how you use MeJu.
  5. v0.11.0September 03, 2026
    • In the Bills screen you can now search by description, amount, date and category, move between years, and the list comes 20 at a time instead of all at once.
    • Transactions gained a category filter, a payment status filter and search by description. Search finds words with or without accents.
    • In Categories you can search as you type, with or without accents, and collapse each group. With many categories, they now open collapsed.
    • Wise joined the list of banks you can import from, via CSV file. And when a bank's import is still being tested, the screen says so upfront and asks at the end whether it worked.
    • On import, MeJu now tells a credit card invoice apart from a bank statement, and each card gets its own line in the month instead of all of them landing on a single one.
    • The daily tip is now one per currency. If you use both euro and real, each has its own, and switching currency on screen switches the tip.
    • The thumbs on the tip stopped being decoration: what you like and what you dismiss now shape the next ones.
    • When the connection fails, Bills and the Report now say what happened and offer to try again, instead of going blank. In the Report the warning is per tab, so one tab in trouble does not take the others down.
    • The Assistant bought separately no longer has a trial period: billing starts at the moment of purchase.
    • People who buy the Assistant on its own now get the email with the steps to get started.
    • Marking a card transaction as paid could also mark purchases from other cards, other months and other years as paid. It now stays on the right card, month and year.
    • A card expense you typed in yourself could disappear from the Report. It shows up now.
    • The Bank of Ireland statement imported no rows at all, and the screen simply said there were no expenses. It imports now.
    • The monthly receipt told Lifetime owners that their app access expires on a date. Lifetime app access does not expire, and the wording was corrected.
    • The “I already have the app” option showed up for people who never had an account. It now only shows for those who do.
    • In the Report, three different expense groups were all showing as Other, and the list could even show two identical rows with different totals. Each now has its own name: Other, No category and Other categories.
    • In the Report's History tab, some categories were showing an internal name instead of the name you see everywhere else in the app.
    • In Settings, the Forgot password? link now sits right below the explanation, which is where the text says it is.
    • In Transactions, the payment status filter was cutting off the word Pending. All three buttons now show in full.
  6. v0.10.1August 30, 2026
    • The installed app opens straight into your dashboard, and on iPhone the top and bottom bars are no longer hidden behind the system bar.
    • The renewal date is showing again in your plan notice.
    • The 14 day free trial also applies when you buy before creating an account.
  7. v0.10.0August 29, 2026
    • If you tell the assistant a purchase was on your credit card, it lets you know that purchase comes from your bill and asks you to import the file, instead of recording a line that would count twice later.
    • Ask for a new category in the same message as the expense and it is created on the spot. Name the parent category in that same message and the subcategory is created already linked to it. Once the category is set, the assistant lets you know where it filed the expense.
    • In the transaction form, the field that used to be called Category was renamed: on the expense tab it is now Payment method, and on the income tab it is Source, so it does not get confused with your actual category.
    • You can now send voice notes to the Assistant on WhatsApp. Say the expense instead of typing it and it is recorded just the same, with the usual confirmation. Handy when you are driving, cooking or your hands are busy.
  8. v0.9.0August 26, 2026
    • Buttons, menus and fields are bigger and easier to hit with your thumb on mobile. Fewer mis-taps, less repeating yourself.
    • On narrow screens, the pricing page and the legal documents no longer spill sideways. Everything fits without dragging the page around.
    • Editing and deleting a subcategory works on mobile again. The buttons were invisible to touch and only showed up with a mouse.
    • On iPhone, tapping a form field no longer zooms the screen on its own. Filling in an entry, a goal or an investment is direct again.
    • When a list fails to load, the app now says so and offers to try again, instead of showing an empty screen as if there were nothing there.
  9. v0.8.5August 21, 2026
    • The WhatsApp Assistant now replies in whatever language you write in. Write in Portuguese and it answers in Portuguese; switch back to English and so does it.
    • The connect-WhatsApp screen is no longer clipped on phones: the code and the QR button show in full, with nothing from the bottom bar on top.
    • App messages (saved, copied, something went wrong) are now a thin strip at the top of the screen: they show up, fade on their own, and no longer cover what you are doing.
    • On phones, the round buttons and the app's prompts no longer show up on top of an open panel. Each one waits its turn.
    • On phones, the panels that slide up from the bottom (categories, goals, investments, card bill) no longer show up clipped by the bottom bar.
  10. v0.8.2August 20, 2026
    • The AI help is answering right away again, without that error asking you to try later.
    • The install-app invite on iPhone no longer shows up clipped or hidden behind the buttons.
  11. v0.8.1July 21, 2026
    • Categories in the transaction form now render neatly centered, without clipping at the edge.
    • Overview now shows the right numbers for each month even when you import a whole spreadsheet at once.
    • Overview, the daily tip and the help chat are more reliable: no more errors asking you to try again.
    • Small text got easier to read, with better contrast across the app.
  12. v0.8.0July 16, 2026
    • MeJu now speaks to you: the tip of the day, the month's summary and Overview cite your real numbers and categories, in plain language, like a friend who is good with money.
    • MeJu is easier to keep at hand: the app now invites you to install it on your phone or computer home screen, with step-by-step help for iPhone.
    • When you lose your connection, the app now shows a friendly page instead of an error screen, and recovers as soon as you are back online.
    • The main screens got lighter and open faster, especially the report and its charts.
    • More trustworthy reports: the dashboard, the report and your transactions now always come from the same math, including multi-year views.
    • Stronger security protections across the whole app.
    • More comfortable to read and use: better text contrast, easier-to-tap buttons on mobile and improved screen reader support.
    • Fine-tuning all around: a smarter amount field while typing, month names fixed in the English version and clearer invoice labels.
    • On Android with the app installed, the back button now behaves as expected: after signing in, it no longer takes you back to the login screen.
    • The website help chat is more stable: the occasional error asking you to try again is gone.
    • The invitation to install the app now appears centered on the screen, on both mobile and desktop.
  13. v0.7.0July 08, 2026
    • The MeJu website now answers your questions on the spot: quick help about how the app works, without leaving the page.
    • More reliable sign-in: we fixed a case where some testers were wrongly shown a blocked screen when opening the app.
    • Steadier day to day: alerts and notifications are lighter and the app loads more consistently between visits.
  14. v0.6.0June 27, 2026
    • The plans page was redesigned to show your options clearly and directly, with no pressure. You choose how you want to have MeJu, your way.
    • In Settings you can follow your plan with a simple explanation of what's included and manage everything in one place, with your data always preserved.
  15. v0.5.0June 26, 2026
    • The dashboard now shows last month's balance next to the current month's, so you can follow how your money carried from one month to the next.
    • A new account can start with ready-made categories (Groceries, Transport, Housing and more). It's just a suggestion: accept it during signup or add it anytime from the Categories screen, and edit or delete them however you like.
    • Entering amounts is simpler now: the decimal and thousands separators appear on their own as you type, in each currency's correct format (Real and Euro).
  16. v0.4.0June 17, 2026
    • Strengthened security across all app actions
    • Keyboard navigation and screen reader support in forms
    • Automated coverage of core financial rules
    • Faster loading of transactions and invoices
  17. v0.3.0June 10, 2026
    • Import statements from Banco do Brasil and Bradesco directly in MeJu, in CSV format.
    • Send feedback by topic (bug, idea, question, or praise) right from the avatar menu.
    • More stable session: you stay logged in between visits without having to log in every time.
    • When you sign in again, you're taken straight back to the page you were trying to open.
    • More reliable statement import: re-importing the same file no longer duplicates items or unmarks an invoice you already paid.
    • December purchases billed on your January statement now count in the right year across all reports.
  18. v0.2.0June 07, 2026
    • The annual report now shows your Net worth for the year: account balance plus everything you invested, in a single number.
    • Bank of Ireland Aer Credit Card statements can now be imported correctly, including transactions in foreign currencies.
    • Revolut Credit Card Statement PDFs can now be imported into MeJu.
    • When importing a statement, you choose the exact month and year. The app will never place the invoice in the wrong month again.
    • The app learns merchants you categorize manually and recognizes them automatically in future imports.
    • During import, categorize one item and apply that category to all similar items in the same statement at once.
    • You can now move a subcategory to a different parent category without having to recreate it from scratch.
    • Select multiple transactions at once and delete them all together, in addition to deleting individually or clearing an entire month.
    • See pending invites for your workspace and cancel any of them before they are used.
    • New "Stay signed in" option on login: uncheck it to sign out automatically when you close the browser.
    • When importing a C6 statement, charges reversed on the same day (such as a waived annual fee) no longer show up as an expense.
    • Dashboard, reports, and transactions update automatically after importing a statement or changing categories, no page reload needed.
  19. v0.1.2June 05, 2026
    • Annual report with yearly KPIs, monthly bar chart, and multi-year history.
