MeJu vs Mobills: which money app to choose
Updated on 9 October 2026
Who each app is for
Mobills is a Brazilian personal finance app for iOS, Android and the web. It is built around a life in reais: accounts, credit cards, budgets, goals and monthly reports.
MeJu is built for people whose life is split between Brazil and Europe, or for two people who want to see the same month. It keeps reais and euros in the same space, each balance in its own currency, and reads statements from Brazilian, Irish and European banks.
Where Mobills is stronger
- Native apps on the App Store and Google Play. MeJu runs in the browser and installs as a PWA, with no native app for now.
- Automatic bank connection on the Premium plan (the plans page names Nubank and Santander). MeJu has no automatic connection and no Open Finance: you import the statement file.
- Planning tools such as savings goals, budgets and bill reminders, listed in the app description and on the plans page.
- Lower yearly price: Premium was listed at R$ 99.90 per year in October 2026.
Where MeJu is stronger
- Real multi-currency: reais and euros in one space, each with its own balance, no conversion. The Mobills help center says to pick one default currency.
- Shared space: up to 2 people, each with their own login. The Mobills help center suggests sharing the same login.
- European banks: besides Nubank, Inter, XP, C6 Bank, Banco do Brasil and Bradesco, MeJu reads files from AIB, Bank of Ireland, Revolut and Wise.
- WhatsApp assistant: log an expense or check your month by text or voice note, included in the subscription.
- Data stored in the European Union (Ireland), under GDPR and LGPD, and the statement file is discarded after it is read.
Differences you feel day to day
Getting data in: with Mobills, if your bank is supported, sync brings transactions in. With MeJu, you download the PDF or CSV from your bank and drop it in the app, or send the transaction on WhatsApp. It is one more step, but you never connect your bank account to a third party.
Couples: MeJu does not work out who owes whom. It shows one month with both people's transactions in one place. If you need to settle up, a bill-splitting app works alongside either one.
Pricing model
Mobills: free to download, with in-app purchases. On its plans page in October 2026, Premium cost R$ 99.90 per year.
MeJu: € 8,99 per month for the app and the WhatsApp assistant, or a yearly plan where 12 months cost the same as 10. There is also a one-time purchase of the app with no monthly fee, which does not include the assistant. The trial lasts 14 days: a card is required at the start and nothing is charged during it. MeJu has no free plan.
Privacy and data location
MeJu stores data in the European Union (Ireland), follows GDPR and LGPD, does not sell data and does not keep your statement file, only the organized transactions. You can turn off the AI features in settings.
The Mobills site says the company uses technical and administrative measures to protect personal data, but it does not say where data is stored. The App Store listing, published by Toro Investimentos Ltda., says the app contains ads.
How to move from Mobills to MeJu
- Before you cancel, save whatever history you need from Mobills itself.
- In MeJu, pick your main currency at the start and set up the categories you already use.
- Download the last few months of statements or card bills as PDF or CSV from your bank and import them. Duplicates are skipped.
- If there are two of you, invite the other person to the shared space so each has their own login.
- Use the 14-day trial to check that your bank is read correctly before the first charge.

Frequently asked questions
Which is better, MeJu or Mobills?
It depends on where you live. If you only use reais in Brazil and want automatic bank sync in a native app, Mobills is a good fit. If you deal with reais and euros, share money with another person or want your data in the European Union, MeJu was built for that.
Does Mobills support reais and euros at the same time?
According to the Mobills help center, the app uses one default currency and suggests renaming accounts held abroad. In MeJu, reais and euros live in the same space, each with its own balance.
Is there a Mobills alternative for Brazilians living in Europe?
MeJu is built for that case: it reads statements from Nubank, Inter, XP, C6 Bank, Banco do Brasil and Bradesco as well as AIB, Bank of Ireland, Revolut and Wise, and stores data in Ireland.
Does MeJu connect to my bank automatically like Mobills?
No. MeJu does not use Open Finance or automatic bank connections. You import the PDF or CSV statement, and the file is discarded after it is read. You can also log expenses on WhatsApp.
Can couples use MeJu?
Yes. The shared space holds up to 2 people, each with their own login, looking at the same month. MeJu does not calculate who owes whom.
Does MeJu have a free plan like Mobills?
No. MeJu has a 14-day trial, with a card required at the start and nothing charged during it, and then costs € 8,99 per month. Revenue comes only from subscriptions.
